Home Sellers

I was doing some rummaging around, looking at emails and blog posts, and thought I would give you sellers a list of the top 10 House Hunting Pet Peeves.

1. Dirty Home - Put clothes away, dishes in dishwasher,
throw trash away!

2. Pets - Pet smell, animal hair in the house, barking
animals, caged and locked up animals, etc.

3. Clutter - Or in other words, “Too Much Stuff.”
Makes a room look smaller, distracting, etc.

4. Shot light bulbs - They’re cheap, replace them.
It will only take a minute. I promise.

5. Sellers present for showing - Makes the buyer
uncomfortable. Buyer tends to go through the home
quicker, feel like they can’t speak openly about what they see.

6. House smells like smoke - A big turn off! Febreeze is a plus!

7. Cooking smells - Cookies are fine. Just don’t cook
an “ethnic” meal prior to a showing if at all possible.
(i.e. Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, etc.)

8. Dirty dishes in sink.

9. Toys scattered in the yard or home.

10. Unfinished projects - Remodels, updates, etc. Finish them.
