I think one of the absolute most important things that contribute to the success of selling real estate are GREAT photos. That seems like a given. You probably feel the same way. Unfortunately, there are many, many local Realtors that don’t get it.

Our MLS has recently increased the number of photos that we can include on a listing from 9 (which has always been way too low) to 24 (which is about right). Again, I hate calling out other people’s work, but this is just extremely poor.

Before you think or ask, no, these pictures were not taken in 1985.

I’m working on a more intuitive search experience on the site. Go to THE SEARCH PAGE to check it out. Now, you can type in a word or phrase that you’re looking for in a home. For example, you want a home with a pool and vaulted ceilings. Those aren’t in the normal search options, but you may now type that in the new “tags” box on the search page and find the homes that have that. Good luck!

As promised, the redneck photo of the week. This one comes from about 20 minutes West of Athens, AL. I was on the way to Rogersville, and just happened to drive by this jewel. Sorry, my iPhone didn’t get the sign in the window, so I wrote it in.

Can’t blame the guy for at least trying.
